Here's the Audi Group 44 beast from back when it was used in anger. Guess the track?
One recollection was going into turn 1, it did not carry a normal race line. It looked more like a rally turn where he threw it into the turn, and used the 4wd to pull him back on the track. Also its interesting that the orange in your picture is brighter than what shows up in my original film pics.
These are from a Trans Am race. Wiki says that it was Hurley Haywood with either Hans Stuck or Walter Rohl. They won 8 of 13 races that year (1988).

Its interesting the subtle differences. The rocker jack points seem to be gone. Also the wheel fans are different, the orange is slightly different, also the windshield header is different. Also it grew an antenna on the roof. Perhaps they changed in '89 when it ran in IMSA.
